Brian Raftery is a journalist, podcaster, and author. His works include the book Best. Movie. Year. Ever.: How 1999 Blew Up the Big Screen (Simon & Schuster), as well as the narrative podcasts The Hollywood Hack (2024), Do We Get to Win this Time? (2023), and Gene & Roger (2021), all produced by Spotify and The Ringer.
A former senior writer for Wired, Brian’s writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Ringer, and New York, among several other publications. He’s currently at work on a book for Simon & Schuster about the “late, great” Hannibal Lecter.
